Berlin-based startup Inkitt runs a crowdsourced publishing platform for stories and books. It today contains 350,000 stories from 110,000 writers and a community of 1.6M readers all over the globe. Its success has impressively demonstrated that despite of the rise of movie streaming services there is still a substantial demand for written stories. This has now attracted big names in the venture capital industry to propel Inkitt’s next level of growth and success. Kleiner Perkins, Holtzbrinck Ventures and others invested a total of 16M USD into the company that is advised by LACORE since its early days.
